NAPA — October 26, 2026. People walking or driving along Lincoln Avenue should plan for temporary detours and traffic changes through Friday, October 30. The City of Napa reports sidewalk, curb and gutter demolition and replacement on the westbound side of Lincoln Avenue between Soscol Avenue and Brown Street.
Which paths will be affected?
According to the city’s October 23 weekly construction bulletin, the street will retain one traffic lane in each direction while crews work. Portions of the sidewalks on both sides will close in sections as construction advances. People walking or using wheelchairs should follow posted pedestrian detour signs rather than enter a work area.
The city did not publish a guaranteed start or finish hour for each block; the October 26–30 dates describe planned workdays, not a promise of a continuous full road closure. Residents should allow additional time for accessing nearby shops, businesses and services.
One of several Napa projects this week
Other city maintenance operations include pavement markings, paving and utility work on several roads. These are separate site-specific projects, and a restriction on Lincoln Avenue does not mean traffic is prohibited on every downtown Napa street.
Schedules can change because of weather or field conditions. Follow current city signs and local public works updates.
