What the preliminary results mean
These are three trustee areas rather than one districtwide three-seat contest. Area 7 includes additional candidates not listed in this summary. The percentages describe currently counted votes and may change during the canvass. School-board offices are distinct from Napa City Council offices.
When results become final
This article uses the available November 4 election-night or morning snapshot, not a certified election result. Election offices continue to verify and count eligible ballots; future releases may change these numbers. Readers should check the latest official county update before assuming an election has been decided.
