NAPA, California — November 4, 2026. The Napa City Council’s competitive District 3 contest had a substantial early lead for incumbent Mary Luros over Jim Hinton. District 1 is a separate election in which Christopher DeNatale was the sole named candidate on the ballot.
District 3: 1:10 a.m. snapshot
KQED’s Napa County election results showed Luros with 1,541 votes (69.5%) and Hinton with 674 (30.4%) when updated at 1:10 a.m. Pacific on November 4. These are unofficial returns and may change when more qualified ballots are counted.
District 1: not a two-person race
DeNatale received 2,194 votes and was the only printed candidate in District 1, according to the same report. A 100% share among named candidates does not mean 100% of registered district voters participated or supported him; write-ins and the full canvass remain separate considerations.
How city districts are represented
Council districts represent different areas of Napa, and each local councilmember votes on infrastructure, municipal facilities and land-use decisions. The contests shouldn’t be conflated with the countywide U.S. House District 4 race or Napa County’s Measure B vote.
Follow Napa County Elections for the next reports and county certification no later than December 3. No final winner is declared here.
